One Nation One Ration Card Scheme
The main objective of this central government scheme is to make food available to the citizens of the country. At present, this facility has started in about 14 states where POS machines have been installed. For now, such a person can buy his ration from the ward or panchayat from which his card is made.

This scheme is like Mobile Number Portability (MNP) in a way. The way you talk to the same number from any corner of the country without changing your number. In this way your ration card will not change in this scheme. And you can easily use your ration card by moving from one state to another.
One Nation One Ration Card – New ration card number will be of 10 digits
People with all the ration cards currently issued by the central government will be given a 10 digit ration card number. In which the first two numbers will be the state code and the next two numbers will be the ration card number. To implement this across the country, the facility of portability of ration cards will be started.
Eligibility for One Nation One Ration Card
You can apply only on the basis of this document. Whenever you go to the nearest help center to get a ration card, keep all these documents with you.
- Applicant must be a resident of India.
- The applicant must have Aadhar Card and Identity Card issued by the Government.
- The age of the ration taker should be above 18 years.
- Ration taker must have caste certificate
- For information about family income, it is necessary to have an income certificate.

ONORC Scheme – Key Points
