The Punjab State Government is committed to provide financial assistance to the needy people for the construction of houses under the Punjab Shehri Awas Yojana (PSAY). A new web portal https://pmidcprojects.punjab.gov.in/pmay has been launched to speed up this process of the government. This dedicated portal for Punjab Shehri Awas Yojana has been made available by the state government in two languages Punjabi and English. Interested candidates can fill the Citizen Form Online.
Punjab government announced a scheme named “Punjab Shahari Awas Yojana” in 2020 to provide free houses in the city to the families belonging to backward categories. The objective of this scheme is to provide free houses to the person or families belonging to the backward caste category.

Punjab Shehari Awas Yojana will be completed in 2 phases. To make this scheme more efficient, the Punjab government has tied up with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). If your annual income is more than Rs.3 lakh but less than Rs.5 lakh, then you will be allotted houses in the next phase.
First part – Any poor families whose income is below 3 lakhs annually can take advantage of this scheme.
Second part – According to the second part, poor family whose income is less than 5 lakhs annually can take advantage of this scheme.
