Tamil Nadu Government has announced the launch of the Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Scheme for students. Under this scheme, the state government is providing free laptops to 2 million students. A budget of ₹2,000 crore has been set aside for the free laptop scheme for the year 2025-26. First phase tender for 10 lakh laptops already floated internationally.
