Uttar Pradesh Digishakti Portal
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the UP Free Tablet/Smartphone Scheme. Under this scheme, all eligible youth in the state will be provided free tablets and smartphones. To implement this scheme, the UP government launched the DG Shakti portal. Students will need to register online through this portal, which will be handled by universities. Smartphones and tablets will also be distributed.
Approximately 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones will be distributed under this scheme. Distribution of smartphones and tablets will begin in the second week of December. Although registration is required, beneficiaries will not need to visit any government office to apply.

Objective of UP Digi Shakti Portal
The main objective of Digi Shakti Yojana is to register eligible students under Shakti Port UP Free Tablet Scheme of UP Government and to help the needy people. To benefit from this scheme, students will not need to visit a public service center or government office. Data on all eligible students will be fed into the Digishakti Portal through universities and colleges. After this, all eligible students will be provided the benefit of free smartphone and tablet scheme.
This process will save both time and money, as all documentation and paperwork will be handled by the college itself. If reports are to be believed, the DG Shakti portal may also provide educational materials to students in the future.
Benefits and Features of UP Digi Shakti Portal

Eligibility to register on Digishakti Portal
- To benefit from this scheme, it is not mandatory for the student to be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- The student must be studying in an educational institution in Uttar Pradesh.
- The annual family income must be ₹2,00,000 or less.
- The applicant must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diploma, Skill Development and Higher Education, Technical Education, ITI, or Government College in Uttar Pradesh.

Digishakti Portal Registration Process
The Digi Shakti portal has been launched to provide students with access to the benefits of the UP Free Tablet/Smartphone Scheme. Students do not need to register to avail of this scheme. All student data will be fed through the university. Students can be registered by the university by following the process below.
